Description

Ken Mair, well-known Maori activist, sits with his feet up in front of the TV holding a beer in his hand and pronouncing that since everyone treats Waitangi Day as a holiday he will do the same this year and let someone else throw mud at politicians. He is wearing a bone carving round his neck and a headband with a Maori design; against the wall are two protest banners. Refers to Ken Mair's absence from the 2007 Waitangi Day celebrations and the fact that the celebrations were much more peaceful than had been the case over the past few years.
