Taylor, Mary Caroline 1803-1884 : Diary / transcribed by Randal Springer

Diary entries from the Taylors' arrival in England in July 1867 to 31 Jan 1870, and 1 June 1871 until their return to New Zealand in November of the same year. Mrs Taylor records their daily activities and the people they met, especially family affairs and concerns. An account of their voyage back to NZ on the `Shannon' to Melbourne, by the `Tararua' to Port Chalmers and then by a variety of transport back to Wanganui.

Relationship complexity - The Library received photocopies of the originals of these two diaries which Springer has not transcribed; the Taylors's journey to England was largely for Rev R Taylor to prepare his second book for publication.
