'The Politician' cartoon strip. The politician (clearly) Labour MP Chris Carter says that he is writing a book about the party, denying that it is because he has been dumped but adding that its title is to be 'Take That!' Chris Carter has been stood down pending decisions about his political future after an almost comically inept attempt to roll Labour leader Phil Goff. Phil Goff expects Mr Carter to be called before the New Zealand Council at its next meeting and the council is expected to back Mr Goff and expel Chris Carter from the party for his disloyalty to the leader.
