- Description
A scene on a broad track through an Australian forest. Two uniformed Border Police are resting, one seated at the foot of a tree, the other armed, standing alongside one of three horses. Two horses are saddled, the central one is loaded up as the packhorse. The men wear uniforms of broad-brimmed hats, dark brown uniforms with red stand-up colours, wrists and broad stripes down the outer trouser legs.
The Border Police operated on the borders of New South Wales with Queensland and Victoria
