- Description
Shows the Hutt Valley side of Rimutaka Road winding amongst hills. In the left foreground a seated traveller with walking staff and backpack, talks to a Maori woman with a baby on her back. On a section of road in the middle distance, a coach and four is travelling away. On the furthest piece of road, two small camp fires are smoking. A hill on the left in the middle distance is cleared of trees, possibly burned off.
This watercolour was reproduced as a limited edition by the International Art Centre in 1978 (see copies at C-083-055 and C-083-055-a)
