The Maria (Ship) made a whaling voyage to the Pacific Ocean in 1832-36. She rounded Cape Horn, cruised on the Chilean and Peruvian coasts and touched at the Galapagos Islands, Easter Island, Maui (Hawai'i). There are two documents:
1. A typescript copy of a journal kept by the ship's carpenter Joseph B. ?, 18 February 1833-27 April 1836.
2. Logbook kept by Captain Macy beginning 13 October 1832 and ending 17 January 1836.
