Queen Elizabeth II speaking to citizens of Auckland at the Civic Reception outside the Town Hall, Auckland, during the 1953/54 royal tour. Shows the queen speaking to a crowd through microphones, at the front of a stand full of officials and dignitaries. In the background, people stand on the balconies of shops and hang from windows, and a sign reads `God Bless Our Queen'. Photograph taken 23 December 1952, by E Woollett.
