The cover shows a woman standing beneath the carved Maori gateway at Whakarewarewa; text and photographs inside show the Waikite Geyser in action, the tearooms at the Blue Baths, Maori housewives cooking their food in hot pools, the children's section of the Blue Baths, the Sanatorium grounds, the Ward Baths, poi dance at Whakarewarewa, trout in the Fairy Springs, Rotorua Golf Club, bowling in the Sanatorium grounds, Pohutu Geyser in action, a haka at Whakarewarewa, Mokoia Island and Ohinemutu, Hongi's Track, Lake Rotoiti, two women performing a hongi, Lake Tarawera. The back cover shows a map of the Rotorua district.
