Folder comprises two partial journals. One on the Treaty of Waitangi which Baker gives a first-hand account of the signing, and subsequent discussions. Also a recollection from Baker of the Treaty document nearly being destroyed in a fire at the Auckland offices in 1841. The second volume comprises `Notes for journal' (February - July 1854).
