Included is information (extracts from Otaki minute book no.2, 1874) regarding land claims with particular reference to Muhunoa, near Otaki, which was disputed between sections of Ngati Toa and Ngati Raukawa. Also gives information about migrations of the Ngati Raukawa tribe from Waikato during the 1830s and settlement patterns in the Horowhenua.
