Original owner was Alexander Trotter who purchased 330 acres in 1903 in the parish of Matakana. In 2008 the land was owned by his descendants Ron Trotter and his wife Eileen, and Ian (Ron's son) and his wife Joanna, as family trusts.
In 2008 the property was awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family.
