- Description
The CEO of BP, Tony Hayward, tells President Obama that they ARE trying but as yet cannot find anything better at soaking up oil than a pelican. $2 billion is the amount BP has already spent battling the Gulf oil spill (including the more than $105 million the company has paid so far to settle 32,000 claims) but the leak from the failed oil well continues. BP will set aside $20 billion to pay the victims of the massive oil spill in the Gulf, a move made under pressure by the White House.
