Description

A 'GOOD EVANS' cartoon. Shows an elderly gentleman sitting in an armchair reading the newspaper as his wife opens the mail. There is a letter saying 'Obama wins' and as she reads it she says 'Guess whose coming to dinner!' to her husband who looks somewhat stunned. The little Evans' bird in the corner says 'Get out the fried chicken'. Refers to Barack Obama's having won the contest against Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic presidential candidate. The 'Guess whose coming to dinner' phrase is the title of a film in which Sidney Poitier who is black falls in love with a white girl etc. If Obama wins the election he will be the first black president.
