[Creator unknown]: [Map of land blocks from the Waikato River to the Wairoa River, including part of the Coromandel District] [ca. 1857] [map with ms annotations].

This map is comprised of land block divisions of the area from the Waikato River to the boundary of the Wairoa River, across to Hikurangi. Part of the Coromandel Peninsula from Mercury Bay northwards is included and adjacent islands. Great Barrier Island, which was drawn on the base map, is not marked as a land block although the adjacent Raketu Island is, as is Taranga Island (Hen Island). Each land block is heavily outlined and the majority have Maori names. Okahu block refers to Turton Deeds 150 and 151. A few blocks appear to have amended names and have a handwritten note to this effect.
