The scene is the front entrance to Te Wananga o Aotearoa. Two staff are on their way home. One of them is worried that the government is planning to cut three hundred staff but the other tells her not to worry as the government had also been planning to make the wananga repay its mismanaged funds and that hasn't happened either. Rongo Wetere, CEO of Te Wananga o Aotearoa was eventually forced to resign because of mismanaged funds and other irregularities in the running of the largest tertiary institution in New Zealand.
