A man comes to reception in the 'Waikato Hospital' holding the patch that he has ripped out of the knee of his trousers. The receptionist tells him that he only has to 'remove gang patches'. Context; intimidation of staff and patients at Waikato hospitals has prompted the district health board to bring in a ban on the wearing of gang regalia.
