Two Christmas turkeys representing members of parliament discuss a newspaper report that reads 'Vote to ask MPs to forgo pay rises'. One of them is puzzled and wonders if 'They want us to vote for an early Christmas'. Text above reads 'Why they will get round it...' The idea behind the cartoon is that MPs are as likely to vote against a pay rise as a Christmas turkey is to vote for an early Christmas.
