Letters to Nobbs from John White, consul at Valparaiso (1821); the later letters are from a variety of writers, including masters of whaling ships, Royal Navy officers, other missionaries and clergymen, such as Bishop Patterson in Auckland and family members. They include letters while he was in England in 1852 being ordained, and from 1856 to Norfolk Island where he was stationed.
