Context: At the same time as the 2011 general election on 26th November New Zealanders were asked if they wanted to keep the Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) voting system or change to another system; and if New Zealand were to change from MMP, which one of four alternative systems they would preferFirst Past the Post, Preferential Voting, Single Transferable Vote or Supplementary Member.
