- Description
Two brown moths in flight, shown with pupa and caterpillar on a stem of sweet pea in flower and leaf. According to artist's notes 'Caterpillar keeps in the ground round the roots of plants chiefly feeding in the night, cutts off young peas (cow pea), Coleworts and other greens in gardens etc. Went into the ground and changed 24th Feby, bred 20th March. Frequents plum blossoms in the evening'.
