The cartoon is headed 'Save our endangered species' and shows a lonely kiwi plodding along through the bush and many pairs of eyes peering greedily at it out of the gloom. Other text talks about 'Bankus Kiwiana' which lays golden eggs out of all proportion to its size and the notion that greed and incompetence have caused previously widespread 'Bankus' species to dwindle to this single species. Refers to the suspicion that the government is considering selling off part of Kiwibank to overseas interests.
