Shows the Port of Wellington reclamations and constructions of wharves, between Lambton Quay and Waterloo Quay to 1884. Includes: Railway Wharf; Wool Jetty; Queens Wharf; Waterloo Quay and surrounding streets. Also shows boundary of present waterfront. Lists Reclaiming Authority, with dates and area, which consists of: New Munster Government (1852); Wellington Provincial Government (1857-1863); Order of Oddfellows (1859); Order of Foresters (1864); Wellington Provincial Government (1866-1867); General Government (Government buildings)(1875); Provincial Government completed by the general government (1876); Wellington- Manawatu Railway Co (1882); General Government (1882); Wellington Harbour Board (1882) and Wellington-Manawatu Railway Co (1884).
Includes pencil annotation showing present waterfront.
