Map of the area from the Manawatu River to Patea. A semicircle is drawn encompassing an area from south of Patea to the Rangitikei River which is subdivided into Major Rookes and Major Marshall's divisions of militia districts. Rivers, lakes and settlements are prominently named. Boundaries of purchased land are marked as is the Great North-Western Trunk Road. Missionary, No.3, Waiototara, Victoria, Great Western and Middle Lines are marked.
