A man sits in a restaurant looking lugubriously at the menu which features 'Horse of the day'. The waiter tells him that 'It got lapped on the third at Avondale'. Refers to a story in Stuff about Canvas restaurateur David Kerr receiving abusive phone calls in the wake of a Times story on Monday publicising his "Mr Ed is Dead" horse dish entry in this year's Monteith's Wild Food Challenge.
