Text reads 'The day after Waitangi; in the first frame dated '1840' a thoughtful Pakeha official clutches a document and a Maori chief smiles as he puts his arm round his shoulder; in the second frame dated '2011' a thoughtful Maori man holds a laptop while a smiling Pakeha man has his arm around his shoulder. Context - in 1840 Maori believed the settlement had given them many privileges but in 2011 the Pakeha believes he has got the better deal. In each case a deal was struck but discovered later to be full of fishhooks.
