There are two scenes. In the first we see a reporter with a hand-held vieo-recorder interviewing three black people, presumably refugees from New Orleans after the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The father is saying cynically that after ten days the water looked so much like oil that President Bush got interested. This refers to his rather slow response to the disaster. In the second scene we see Winston Peters throwing mud, (presumably at an unseen Bob Clarkson). This refers to his falling behind National candidate, Bob Clarkson, in the polls, and slinging an old sexual harrassment accusation at him. The link between the two cartoons is
