Description

The cartoon shows former leader of the National Party Don Brash asking Prime Minister John Key how they can explain the lack of productivity and lack of ideas. The PM is relaxed with his feet on his desk and offers a whole range of reasons including 'Slavish adherence to wingnut economic theories' and 'smoko breaks'. Refers to the 'Productivity Task Force' that Don Brash is chairing and that is charged with the task of closing the productivity gap between New Zealand and Australia by 2025. The first report was due in October 2009.
