The 'ACT Party' goes 'Glug! Glug! Glug!' down the plughole. Refers to yet another self-inflicted blunder, this time by David Garrett who has confessed to an assault charge dating back to 2002 and, far more damagingly, admitted he had stolen a dead baby's identity to obtain a false passport 26 years ago. Rodney Hide, the party leader, has compounded the shambles by expressing "absolute confidence" in the MP. His credibility and that of the party are in tatters. (NZ Herald editorial 17 September 2010)
