Refers to the rise In GST to allow for funding for the 2010 budget tax cuts which will hit people on low Incomes hard. Refers also to the theft of paintings by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani and two other well-known artists from a Paris museum in a heist worth 100 million euros ($NZ184.5 million). 'Pink Panthers' is the name given by Interpol to an international jewel thief network, named after The Pink Panther series of crime comedy films, which is responsible for some of the most audacious thefts in criminal history. They are responsible for what have been termed some of the most glamorous heists ever, with their crimes being thought of as "artistry" even by criminologists.
