Description

A man stands in front of the counter in a takeaway bar ordering a bread roll filled with pork, puha, kumara and toheroa sauce. The woman serving him asks her colleague if she has ever noticed the number of people opting for the Maori roll. The reference is to a concerted effort at the moment to get Maori onto either the Maori roll or the general roll, the main thrust being to get them registered for voting. The bread roll is filled with typical Maori foods.
