The cartoon shows Iran's President Ahmadinejad dressed in what appears to be a spacesuit. He says that Iran is only interested in nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and they are considering a uranium enrichment swap with the west. He says that if he gives the west Iran's low grade ore, the west can give Iran weapons grade fuel that the can turn into medical isotopes and fire at Israel. He realises he has made an error and starts to rephrase what he has just said. Refers to the anxiety of the west about Iran's continued defiance of sanctions against enrichment. Ahmadinejad says that uranium has to be enriched to fuel nuclear power plants and Iran needs the 20 percent enriched fuel for a research reactor producing medical isotopes. The US and its allies who fear the process could eventually be used to give the Islamic republic nuclear weapons.
