- Description
Finance Minister, Bill English, Wearing a vest with the word 'budget' printed on it, runs furiously on a treadmill running machine that represents the 'economic plan'. Context - The cartoon suggests that the 2011 budget provides very little in terms of an economic plan. There is public criticism of the government's attempts to improve the economy by tinkering with the present situation rather than finding innovative ways to create wealth.
