- Description
Shows the side view of a sailing ship at sea, with the process of "trying out" taking place on deck. Smoke rises from the fires lit on the deck under large iron pots, to extract the whale oil from the blubber.
A verbal description of the "trying out" processs is supplied on pages 92-93 of the text.
