- Date
- 2010
- Reference
- DCDL-0015711
- Description
A couple look happy with anticipation of a wine bargain as they drive past a sign advertising 'cellar door sales' of wines. Soon they pass several signs offering for sale cellar windows, roofs, tanks and vines. Refers to the fact that New Zealand's wine industry as a whole has been struggling since 2008, when an oversupply of wine coincided with the global recession and resulted in a number of receiverships among growers and vintners as prices plummets and demand dried up.
