Description: A certificate with text surrounded by a frame of coat of arms above an arch, columns and pedestal. The coat of arms shows an knight and a buffalo on either side of a shield and the motto "Nemo mortalium omnibus horis sapit" (No mortal is wise all the time). Panels show tableaux representing Europe, Asia, Africa and America. At the lower edge are scenes of King John signing the Magna Carta and Queen Elizabeth presenting Earl Essex the banner and motto of the Order. In the centre above the text is a portrait of a man in 16th century (?) dress (possibly Shakespeare), and below the text panel is the head of a buffalo. Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s).
