Description: Shows arrangement of text, with a portrait of the TSS Ulimaroa at the top. John Bell Thomson (1897-1986) in his memoir "Words of passage; the original" (2012), remembered his 1911 Christmas day aboard the ship as a boy. He writes "We duly sailed from Cross Wharf in the sturdy Huddart Parker steamer Ulimaroa to Sydney via Lyttelton and Wellington. Christmas Day was spent during the throes of a storm in mid-Tasman but the tossing did not spoil my appetite". Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s).
