Description: Double-sided poster announces all the features of ther Petone Carnival. It shows four photographs of the "Queens" representing particular areas: Alma Coulson (Hutt Valley Softball Association), Mrs Annette Taylor (Hutt Soccer cricket Club), Miss Kay Williams (Petone RSA), and Rosina Clouston (Hutt Valley Indoor Basketball Association). Carnival events included a Juvenile Beauty parade, a decorated vehicle parade, free spot prizes. The brief carnival programme is shown at the lower left corner. The verso shows a grid of 30 detachable squares for a "Swap Sheet" contest. Each square advertised a product and contestants were encouraged to save the most of any one square. There is a prize list and entry form for this competition at the lower edge. Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s). Physical Description: Offset print on both sides of sheet 505 x 375 mm.
