Photographic portraits, both studio and candid, of the children of (Hon Sir) Robert Stout and Anna Stout, taken between circa 1885 and 1978 by a range of photographers. Particularly images of Thomas Duncan Macgregor Stout.
- Three quarters of the images are of T D M Stout and show him throughout his life, including during World War I, World War II, and some relating his involvement with Victoria University. Does not include images of his wife and children.

- a set of images of Dr Robert Stout (1882-1959) taken between 1904-1919
- a set of images including Janet 1904, Olaf in circa 1892, a group portrait of John, Olaf, Thomas and Robert taken circa 1895, and others, particularly of Thomas and Robert as young men.
