Description: The caption reads 'Must be a shot-gun wedding'. A bride representing the 'state medical service' and groom representing the 'B.M.A.' (British Medical Association) walk down the aisle of the church; a grinning Prime Minister, Michael Joseph Savage, follows them and threatens the groom with a gun. The groom looks furious as he tries to protect his backside. The wedding guests are laughing. Context - In the 1935 election, following the hardships of the Great Depression the Labour Party won a massive victory, gaining 53 seats to the coalition's 19.
