Description: The Gipsy Moth Seaplane brought to Samoa with the Dunedin. Flight Lieutenant Sidney Wallingford and another man can be seen on the fusilage leaning on the wing talking. They are watched from the surrounding warves by a crowd. Flight Lieutennant Sydney Wallingford's job was to locate Mau encampments in the forest. The plane was equiped with a wireless set which enabled him to communicate with his operational headquaters in morse code. Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
