Description: Front view of the artist's intended house (never built) at the foot of The Terrace, showing a gabled wing with two-storied bay window, a verandah to the left. Several sketches of possible chimneys appear against the roof areas of the house. Dating: other material related to the building of the house is dated 1854. The upper view includes additional pencilled-in chimney designs 'to puzzle the earthquakes'. Other material related to the house is dated 1854. The artist was in Wellington during the severe 1855 earthquake and returned to England in 1856, hence the suggested dating of the drawing Quantity: 1 drawing(s).
