This group of files comprises the bulk of the Minister's papers for the portfolio of Industries and Commerce, and Overseas Trade and is complemented by the unfiled ministerial correspondence which follows. The remainder of the papers relate to his general ministerial duties and to his membership of committees and organisations. The files have been left in the original series set up in the Minister's Office and in only three places has this ordered been departed from: 1. Material on the State Services Commission (previously at 8/2 in this series) has been transferred to the Cabinet Committee series (Boxes 374 & 375): 2. Minister's personal correspondence (previously at 7/17 in this series) has been transferred to the correspondence series (Box 344): 3. Minister's club and association membership, 1946-1971 (previously at 7/13 in this series) has been transferred to boxes 544-548. This series includes papers in Boxes 84-283.
