Description

Interviews with kaumatua of the Maniapoto area include whakapapa, family history, local school history, comment on local sacred and historically important geographical features and in depth description of the buildings, history and carving of local marae. Also includes recordings of two events; opening of the Benneydale meatworks and opening of the Oparure school Kura Kaupapa unit.
