Finey, George Edmond, 1895-1987

Artist & caricaturist. Born Auckland. By the age of 14 he was selling drawings to Auckland newspapers. Joined the NZEF as an under-age private on the outbreak of World War I. Took a course at the Regent Street Polytechnic Art School in London, after the war. Worked as a newspaper cartoonist mostly in Australia, where he moved in 1921. See McCulloch, A.
