Bannatyne, William McLeod, 1818-1888

Merchant of Wellington. Came to New Zealand in 1842. Married Jane Emily, the widow of Major Richard Baker. Member of the Wellington City Council 1871-1873. Returned to England ca 1883, where he died in 1888. See DNZB / Scholefield (Vol 1, p38)
