Hutt Valley Orpheus Society, Orpheus Choir

The Hutt Valley Music Society was founded in 1947 and lasted until 1951. The singers were coached by Malcolm Rickard. After that, in 1952, the singers formed the Hutt Valley Orpheus Society. The secretary ca 1955 was Mrs N N Liebezeit. In 1961, the "Hutt Valley" was dropped from the title, and in 1985, the title was changed to Orpheus Choir of Wellington.
