Bolitho, Henry Hector, 1898-1974

Born in Auckland and began journalism on the staff of the Auckland Star. His interest in people and travel led to the publication of over 30 biographies and books on travel. During the Second World War he joined the Intelligence Section. He was a fellow of the Royal Societies of Literature and Arts, and for some years was the chairman of W.R.A.P. (Writing and Reading Aids for the Paralysed).
