Description: Returned servicemen with tuberculosis, on the Repatriation Department's farm at Tauherenikau, Wairarapa, circa 1918-1920. Photographer unidentified. Publication note - Published in Making New Zealand, Vol 2, No 24, page 23 The farm had previously been used to provide rations to the nearby army camp. The men were tuberculosis sufferers who had been refused entry to the Department of Agriculture's Ruakura Farm training operation.
