Description: Cartoon by Ronald Edwin Kennedy depicts a black African boy talking to Ian Smith, Prime Minister of Rhodesia who is dressed to resemble the Statue of Liberty in the United States. He is wearing a robe and carries a torch above his head in one hand and a tablet inscribed "Rhodesia" in the other. The cartoon is unfinished and a caption above the boy has been whited out. Pencil note outside the frame along the right side reads "Liberty is the only thing you cannot have, unless you are willing to give it to others". A verse in pencil noted on the reverse reads "My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing: Land where my fathers died land of the pilgrims pride, from every mountain-side let freedom ring.".
