Description: Coverage of this topographic map is from El Daba to El Alamein along the coast and approximately 200 kilometres south. Handwritten additions include two spots marked west of El Alamein, presumed to refer to the position of troops. This map was folded to 39.3 x 29.8 cm. and has a few chinagraph markings which appear to have come from a transparent overlay which does not accompany this map. Red overprinting of the revised roads and tracks fit for light motorised transport are referred to in a key. Aerodromes and landing grounds are referred to in a key but none appear to have been added. Rock cisterns, wells and heights in metres are referred to in a note. Descriptions of some of the terrain is in English, no glossary is given. Includes map index to adjoining sheets and instructions to give grid references according to the 'purple' grid.
